Biography and Research Focus
Mr. Syed Usama Bukhari is currently a Research Student at Kyushu University, Ito Campus in Japan. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Foundation University (Islamabad, Pakistan). Throughout his academic and professional journey, Mr. Bukhari has cultivated a robust skill set in software development and data analysis, specializing in Web Development i.e. Laravel & JavaSE.
Before joining Kyushu University, Mr. Bukhari contributed to several projects and internships that highlight his passion for healthcare technology and data-driven solutions. His previous work includes, optimized medical software systems by implementing speech-to-text capabilities (using Whisper) and enhancing search with Elastic Stack. He has also led projects related to data standardization – such as integrating into microservice architectures and developed web solutions for Outcome-Based Education (FYP).
Currently, Mr. Bukhari’s research centers on Retrieval Augmented Generation for medical prescriptions and real-time assistance during patient-doctor consultations. By leveraging his expertise in full-stack development, emerging AI frameworks, and medical data standards, he aims to create accessible and efficient digital healthcare solutions. His broader goal is to improve healthcare delivery—particularly in low-resource settings—through scalable, data-driven applications.
